Kalmanovitz Initiative Hosts Discussion on Women, Work, and Globalization
The Kalmanovitz Initiative was honored to host a panel discussion among four of Georgetown’s most esteemed faculty members about the experiences of working women whose lives are impacted by globalization. After a brief introduction by KI’s Executive Director Dr. Joseph A. McCartin, each scholar presented on their research and shared stories from their respective field work.

Women in Labor and Community Organizing at Georgetown
In partnership with the Georgetown Women’s Alliance, the Kalmanovitz Initiative hosted a discussion that addressed women’s leadership in labor and community organizing. The event aimed to encourage, inspire, and offer substantive ideas to women in the Georgetown community who are interested in social justice organizing and activism.

Fighting Inequality: Joint Conference of LAWCHA and WCSA
Fighting Inequality: Class, Race, and Power is a joint conference of the Labor and Working-Class History Association and the Working-Class Studies Association. The Kalmanovitz Initiative will host the conference from May 28-31, 2015, at Georgetown University.
