KI Practitioner Fellow Joe Uehlein Performs at Kennedy Center

On Friday, October 12, Kalmanovitz Initiative Practitioner Fellow Joe Uehlein performed a one-hour set to kick off the Kennedy Center’s Woody Guthrie tribute weekend. Uehlein accompanied Grammy Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli, who spoke about Guthrie’s life and legacy.

Uehlein is a member of roots-rock and Americana band The U-Liners (new window). He is also the founder of the CultureWorks Collective (new window), an organization that looks at the intersection of arts and activism.
