Organizing Internship

The Kalmanovitz Initiative Organizing Internship places student leaders in paid internships with top local community and labor groups advocating for working people.

Through hands-on experience in activism, organizing, and research, students will support ongoing campaigns, contribute to important projects, and develop both their organizing and research skills. This program introduces students to key issues affecting the labor movement and the working poor, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of worker justice in the broader social justice context.

The program seeks to:

  • Introduce students to a range of issues impacting the labor movement and worker justice.
  • Develop both organizing and research skills.
  • Positively contribute to the efforts of community groups working towards social and economic justice.
  • Strengthen the connection between Georgetown and local communities.

By participating in the program, students gain valuable skills for future work in movements and organizations dedicated to creating social change.
