Four Worker Justice Groups are Hiring New Leaders

Four organizations devoted to worker rights are seeing to hire new leaders and senior staff. Take a moment to read about the positions and consider whether they might be right for you or someone you know.

DC Jobs With Justice (DC JWJ) (new window) is a coalition of labor unions, community organizations, faith institutions, and student organizations dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of working people in the DC metropolitan area. DC JWJ is hiring a new Executive Director (new window) to replace the fantastic Nikki Lewis (new window).

The Metropolitan Washington (DC) Council, AFL-CIO (MWC) (new window) works with 175 affiliated union locals and our community, religious, student and political allies to improve the lives of workers and their families throughout the greater metro Washington DC area. It is hiring a new Strategic Campaigns Organizer (new window) with experience in legislative, electoral, labor, and community organizing.

Interfaith Worker Justice (IWJ) (new window) advances the rights of workers by engaging diverse faith communities into action, from grassroots organizing to shaping policy at the local, state and national levels. IWJ is searching for its next Executive Director (new window) to provide leadership and vision for the movement for worker justice and the building of IWJ and its affiliates.

Finally, the Fair Budget Coalition (FBC) (new window) advocates for budget and public policy initiatives that address poverty and human needs in the District of Columbia. FBC is seeking a dynamic leader to join its team as a Co-Director (new window).
