KI Associate Director, Lane Windham is interviewed by Newsy’s “The Why” on the increase in worker activism in recent months.
“Public approval of unions is at a historic high and that’s especially true among workers aged 35 and under 77% say that they are supportive of unions.”
“The pandemic triggered a worker rights revival. It changed what people are willing to accept from a job and also increased public awareness about how poorly workers have been treated workers are voting with their feet and are leaving or refusing to go back to those kinds of bad jobs that have become the norm over the last 30, 40 years. People are just not as willing to accept that anymore.”
