On Wednesday, March 24, over 100 people gathered for a webinar on the emergence of far-right political parties and the impact of these parties on workers, progressive causes, and unions. The Kalmanovitz Initiative co-hosted the event with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and the conversation was moderated by FES’ Knut Panikin.

Special thanks to Federico Finchelstein, Professor of History at the New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College; Vonda McDaniel, President of the Central Labor Council of Nashville and Middle Tennessee and Vice-President of the national AFL-CIO Executive Council; and Thomas Greven, Associate Professor of Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin and a Senior Research Fellow at the German Institute for International Relations for sharing their perspectives on right-wing populist movements across the globe and contextualizing the work left to be done for workers and unions.
