The Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor’s Labor Lab series brings scholars, writers, activists, and artists to Georgetown’s campus to reframe, rethink, and reenergize conversations about the future of workers and the labor movement. This month the Kalmanovitz Initiative, along with the GU Lecture Fund, is happy to host Cory Doctorow — a science fiction author, activist, journalist, and blogger — for a talk titled “Together, We Are Super-Human: How Technology Gives Communities Super Powers.”

Cory Doctorow (craphound.com (new window)) is a science fiction author, activist, journalist and blogger — the co-editor of Boing Boing (new window) and the author of novels Pirate Cinema (new window) (Tor Teen, 2012), For the Win (new window) (2010) and the bestselling Little Brother (new window) (2008). He is the former European director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and co-founded the UK Open Rights Group. His latest novel is Homeland (new window), the sequel to Little Brother.
