event-detail

On April 6, 2010, the Kalmanovitz Initiative, in conjunction with three of America’s most prominent journals of political analysis and opinion, Dissent, The Nation, and The American Prospect, hosted a discussion on “Labor, the Left, and Progressives in the Obama Era.”

A distinguished panel of commentators took part in the discussion: author Barbara Ehrenreich; Chris Hayes, Washington editor of The Nation; Harold Meyerson, Washington Post columnist and editor-at-large of The American Prospect; Liz Shuler, Secretary-Treasuer of the AFL-CIO; Gerry Hudson, Vice President of Service Employees International Union; and Michael Kazin, Georgetown University historian and co-editor of Dissent. The exchange of views among the panelists was lively and thoughtful.
C-SPAN was present to film the discussion. Watch it here. (new window)
